Who Are The Dots?

I have desired to begin a blog for some time and I am so very grateful to my husband for taking the time to get this set up for me. Thanks Brady!

I have titled my blog, "Connecting The Dots" and I'd like to introduce you to who the dots are. Dot #1 is my wonderful husband, Brady. I am dot #2. My oldest daughter, Kelsey is dot #3. She is currently 16. Dot #4 is Lauren, who is 12. Alexis is dot #5 and she is 8. Sophia is 4 years old and she is dot #6. And last, but not least is Brooklyn who is 4 months old. She is the last connecting dot in our family, dot #7!

This blog is about us "dots" and the connections we make daily as a family. The new school year has begun and here is a run down on what the girls are involved in:

Dot #3 - Kelsey - is a Jr. in High School. She is working on obtaining her driver's license. She has excelled in everything she puts her mind to. She plays the piano and guitar. She draws extremely well. She paints and enjoys painting with water colors the most. She has an artists eye for good taste. Recently, she helped me go through my out-dated wardrobe. She informed me it was out-dated. We D.I.'d most of it, then she went with me to get some up-dated clothes. She's funny, because each time she see's me wearing one of her pick's, she comments me on it! I am grateful she keeps me up to date. :) Kelsey is enjoying her ceramics class. She is also surviving chemistry and pre-calc. Go Kelsey. She has a great sense of humor and has a heart of gold. I am grateful to have her in our family.

Dot #4 - Lauren - is in 6th grade. She has begun her first year playing the violin. Lauren loves to spend her time drawing in her art book. She uses this as an out-let for all the feelings she experiences. She is excelling in art at a quick pace due to the time she puts into it. She also enjoys reading and drawing on her DSI. School is all about the social life right now. She looks forward to attending every day and I look forward to hear about all that happened each day. It really is quite entertaining!

Dot #5 - Alexis - is in 3rd grade. She has begun a 90 minute dance class. She is learning ballet, hip hop and tumbling. She looks forward to going each week. We are looking forward to her first dance recital. Alexis is learning to write in cursive at school. She just learned this last summer how to ride a bike and she LOVES it. It took a while for her to learn, but Brady was very patient with her. Alexis often requests for me to make german pancakes. She also loves "veggie soup", which has cheese and cream cheese in it. Who wouldn't love that?

Dot #6 - Sophia - is in pre-school with mom this year! We have two workbooks and several puzzles to help learn sequencing, upper and lower case letters and spelling. Sophia can spell her name and just learned to write, "mom".  She is in ballet and tap this year. She loves it and we are looking forward to see her develop this talent. Her bike has training wheels on it and she has almost reached the petals. I have to keep reminding her that her baby sister isn't a toy. This is where I need to have eyes in the back of my head. :)

Dot #7 - Brooklyn - is just over 4 months old. This last week was her first time rolling over. We broke out the video camera and I will post that footage soon. She has a contagious giggle and she coo's all the time. We love to listen to her. Brooklyn tries to fit all ten fingers in her mouth at the same time. Then she'll gag, then try it again. Silly girl. Her face lights up when daddy comes home from work each day. He is so good with wrapping her in a burrito so she'll sleep all night. Every morning she will stretch her arms up high above her head and give a good long stretch and smile. She is very pleasant and we are so glad to have her in the family.
