Later in the month we carved pumpkins with Brady's family and celebrated his brother's birthday. Carving pumpkins has become a fun tradition to do with his family.
We also went to our wards Trunk or Treat. We had a chili cook off and we won the contest. The kids loved playing with the gag prizes from it. I obtained my Turkey Chili recipe from Melskitchencafe.com. That website has a lot of delicious recipe's, thanks Melskitchen!!! Brady and I celebrated our November birthday's on October 29th. We went to Texas Roadhouse for a date, then the following day we had a nice dinner and cake with the girls. It was fun. We took the gals trick-or-treating on Halloween. The weather was just perfect. Sophie lagged a bit behind Alexis as she ran from house to house, but she did well. Brady and I enjoyed watching them.
November 5th was Brady's 29th birthday and we started it out by cleaning our church building at 8:00am. It was actually a lot of fun, we enjoy being together, it really doesn't matter what we're doing. Then, Brady's family came to spend the weekend with us. We had a good time.
Just a up-date on our daughters.... Kelsey has officially obtained her driver's licence. The night before she took her road test, she and I went on a drive so she could practice. She did a great job! Kelsey also attended her first dance in high school.
Lauren is absorbed in drawing in her art book as well as writing stories. She is coming along with playing her violine as well. I get a chuckle because Lauren will figure out a title of her story first without having any clue what the plot will be. I get a kick out of her imagination as she reads her stories to me. Alexis and Sophia are loving their dance classes. There first recital is in December. Alexis enjoys playing with the neighborhood friends. Sophia has officially classified our silverware as "boys" or "girls". The girl silverware have a curve and the boy silverware have a square type edge. She is very particular that she eats with a girl spoon or fork! Too funny. Brooklyn is drooling and drooling and drooling. She is getting ready to have her first tooth bud. We feel for her, it can't be comfortable. She is overall in good spirits and all of her sisters just love to hear her giggle and watch her smile. We give a happy salute to Fall, for winter is not far away at all!
